Signs of al-Qiyamah
Most of the signs of the Last Hour mentioned in Qur’an are such as will manifest themselves very close to the Hour. Then, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has described in the Ahadith all kinds of tokens, the near ones and the distant, the minor and the major.
Allamah Muhammad Abdur Rasool Barzanjt (Rahmatullah Alayh) (d. 1040 AH) has enumerated three kinds of signs of al-Qiyamah in his book Al-Isha’ah Liashwat Al-Sa’ah. These are: (1) the distant tokens, (2) the in-between tokens, also called the small (minor) signs, (3) the near tokens also called the major signs.

Follow Sunnat or Reason?
Qutbul Aqtab Shaikhul Hadith Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Kandhlawi (Rahmatullah Alayh) writes in Aap Beti Part V:
“I can not understand why it is, that in the rules and regulations of Shari’at, each one of us looks upon himself as a clever research student. What we should actually do is that when something is not understood by us, we should tell ourselves that the rank of Nabuwwat (Prophethood) is way beyond us. Our understanding and intelligence can never reach up to that level.

When Joining a Silsilah
In one of his written Mawaiz Hadhratwala Maulana Shah Hakim Akhtar (damat barkatuhum) mentions Maseehul Ummat Hadhrat Maseehullah Khan Jalalabadi (Rahmatullah Alayh)’s 2-hour long speech held in his Khanqah years ago.
Three special points or advices get re-told by Hadhrat Shah Hakim Akhtar Sahib. I will post here only the second, because it’s in my humble opinion much more interesting than the other two.
“And he [Hadhrat Maseehullah Khan (Rahmatullah Alayh)] said, that when someone joins a Silsilah, makes bay’ah on any Shaykh’s hand, then the souls of all the religiously elders of the Silsilah are focused on him. And they all make Du’a for him. If Maulana Maseehullah Khan Sahab (Rahmatullah Alayh) had not told this and instead someone else had, one could not believe it. But Maulana is an august Alim and Elder.

Virtue of Bay’ah
Hadhrat Shah Abdul Ghani Sahab (Rahmatullah Alayh) said,
“Mian Hakim Akhtar! The path of Allah is obviously very difficult. But when the hand of an Ahlullah comes into one’s hands, then this path, the path of Taqwa, the path of Wilayat, the path of Sulook becomes not only easy, but flavoured and pleasant too.”

Islamophobia
[Article below is taken from the website of Darul Uloom Bury]
Islamophobia is a very interesting term which has become more prevalent since the 11 September terror strikes. Home minister John Denham referred to the term as a cancer. But what is Islamophobia? It is the fear of Islam, a behaviour in some people when they hear about Islam. This leads to the intolerance of Muslims because of their religion. It can be caused by the negative image that is being portrayed of Islam.
