… Slavery [bandagi] is the name of acting upon the Ahkamat elicited from Qur’an al-Karim and Ahadith-e-Nabwi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), on the occassion of Yaum al-Arafat Allah Ta’ala revealed this verse:
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا
“Today, I have perfected your religion for you, and have completed My blessing upon you, and chosen Islam as Deen for you.” (5:3)
Hadhrat Allammah Sayyid Muhammad Anwar Shah Kashmiri (Rahmatullah Alayh) says,
In this Ayat-e-Karima two plurals have been used: (1) “Akmaal” (2) “Itmaam”. The “Akmaal” of an object means, that all these things - which its existence is dependent on – are collected inside of it. “Itmaam” is called, that all these particles – which are important for the commendation of it - can be found inside of it.
So, Allah Rabb al-Izzat completed this Deen in the aspects of it’s existence and commendation.
Deen is the name of these lovely and adornable existent Qur’an al-Karim and Ahadith-e-Nabwi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and the Ahkamat elicited from these both and this alone is the correct and actual law of the Muslims’ lifes.
