سمجھتا ہے خدا کو صرف جو حاجت روا اپنا ۔
وہ غیر اللہ کے در کا کبھی سائل نہیں ہوتا ۔
“Who understands Allah alone as one’s Hajat Rawa*,
will never be a suppliant at the doors of Ghairullah.”

Once Hadhrat Haji Imdadullah Muhajir Makki Sahab نوراللہ مرقدہ said,
“If Allah will ask, ‘Imdadullah, what have you brought?’ – then I would answer ‘I’ve brought Maulana Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi رحمۃ اللہ علیہ and Maulana Qasim Nanotwi رحمۃ اللہ علیہ.’“
Subhan’Allah, how much confidence Hadhrat Haji Sahad had on these two personalities. Through this prosperous saying the worth of both in they eyes of Hadhrat can be assumed.

Take Yourself to Account
My father respected Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi’ (rahmatullah alayh) would say, one day in a year business people close their businesses, to take account of the whole year’s business and to find out how much loss and profit was made. In the same way we need as well to take account of how much we have studied through out the year and how much we practiced upon and what changes came. Not that it’ll be like this…
“As a small donkey he came and as a big donkey he left.”

All praise is due to Allah Who has balanced human interaction between the scales of “Rights and Obligations”. May His choicest salutations continue to descend on our Master and Leader who fulfilled his obligations to fellow man yet rarely demanded his own rights.
“On the Day their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.” (24:24)

The reprinting of the cartoons came in the wake of three individuals who were allegedly caught plotting the murder of the cartoonist. According to the newspapers the reprinting of the cartoons was to ’show solidarity’ with the cartoonist and to reaffirm their ‘right to freedom of speech and expression’.

Our Dr. Hadhrat Muhammad Abdul Hayy Sahib (Rahmatullah Alayh), used to recite a couplet of poetry. He used to say that when Almighty Allah breaks the heart of any of His servants He desires to lift him to greater heights. These shocks, anxieties and sorrows which come to men are forced exertions in the path of Deen (faith) by which men progress by leaps and bounds to higher degrees and this is not possible in normal circumstances. He frequently recited this couplet:
-یہ کھہ کے کسہ ساز پیالہ پنگ دیا
-اب اور کچھ بنائن گے اس کو بگاڑ کے
“The potter threw down the pot to break it saying that after breaking it he would re-shape it (in a better form).”
