After presenting you Ta’limul Haq I want to bring you nearer the popular book of basics of Islam widely read, used, and circulated in India and Pakistan as a basic primer for the essentials of the faith of Islam – “Ta’limul Islam” (Lessons of Islam). Originally this book was written in Urdu by the grand Mufti of the Sub Continent Hadhrat Mufti Muhammad Kifayatullah Sahab (Rahmatullah Alayhi).
It says on the back cover of the English translation,
“The present book is a useful introduction to Islam. It’s question and aswer method seems very appealing and gives us a clear insight into the basic tenets and laws of Shariah. It serves as a valuable guide to a true Islamic life as enjoined by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him). Even Non muslims who are keeping to understand the true Islamic spirit can benefit by the study of this book.”
It’s in question-answer form, a sort of catechising on islam. It’s meant to be especially useful to the young and the unintiated. But the range that the book cover is fairly wide and it has been serving as one of the most authentic books of reference on Islam.
