Huqooq of Time

Shaikhul Masha’ikh Qutb-e-Alam Shaikh Ibn Ataullah Iskandari (rahimullah ta’ala) says,

“Not a moment of your time passes without some command of Allah being attached to it for you, be it obedience or sin, favour or disfavour, materializing.”

Every act which Allah Ta’ala has decreed for man at every breath of his, will materialize whether the act be one of obedience or sin or a ni’mat (bounty) or difficulty. This means that man is perpetually in a state which is pleasing or displeasing to his nafs. If it is pleasing, it will be a ni’mat on condition that it is not a sin. If it is displeasing, it will be a calamity on condition that it is not the effort of an act of obedience.

The Call of the Houris of Jannat

Hadhrat Suhail (rahmatullah alayh) frequently visited Abdullah Bin Mubaarak. One day while leaving Ibn Mubaarak’s home, Suhail said: “In future I shall not come to your house. The young girls in your home were teasing: ‘Come to us Suhail! Come to us Suhail!’, I detest this.” Ibn Mubaarak proclaimed outside: “People, come perform the Janaazah Salaat of Suhail.” Then Suhail died. When the people asked Ibn Mubaarak to explain how he knew of Suhail’s imminent death, he said: “Suhail said today that young girls in my house were calling him. There are no young girls in my home. The Houris of Jannat were calling him. That was a sign of his imminent death.”

The Effect of Qur’an

Once a Qari recited the Qur’an beautifully. Hadhrat Fudhail bin Ayaz (Rahimullah) said: “Recite to my son, but do not recite Surah Al-Qariah. My son is overcome with excessive fear of Allah. He is unable to bear hearing about the calamities of the Akhirah.”

The Qari recited to Hadhrat Fudhail’s son. Forgetting about Hadhrat Fudhail’s warning, he recited also Surah Al-Qariah. The son let out a piercing scream and dropped down dead.

The Noor of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)

Sallallahu Alayhi WasallamHadhrat Hakimul Ummah Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi has mentioned a Hadith in his book نشر الطیب فی ذکر النبی الحبیب صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم with reference of Ahkam bin Al-Qattan that Hazrat Ali bin Al-Hussain (Zainul Abdeen) narrated from his father Hazrat Hussain (رضی اللہ عنہ) and he narrated from his father (Hazrat Ali رضی اللہ عنہ) that the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said: “I was a noor (light) in front of my Lord some forty thousand years before the birth of Hazrat Adam (علیہ السلام).”

There are some more traditions which prove that the noor of the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was created in the earliest time, some traditions say that his noor was created before the Tablet, the Pen, earth, sky and even before all creatures.
