Children should memorize the Qur’an

  1. Memorizing the Holy Qur’an creates strength in the child’s intellectual skills.
  2. The child and it’s parents, moreover the whole lineage is graced by honour and diginity.
  3. Eternal salvation from poorness and hunger gained through the removing the shortness of sustenance. (content of a Hadith)
  4. Parents will be given a crown on the Day of Judgement, whichs light will be more than that of the sun.
  5. Through the blessings of memorizing the Qur’an one is protected from going astray and wrong beliefs.
  6. The whole life will become ‘Ibaadah when one recites  in every situation some or other verses, because one has memorized the Holy Qur’an.
  7. Through the blessings of the Holy Qur’an one is to a large extent protected from a life of game and play [Lahw wa La’ab].
  8. By the intercession of a Hafiz 10 persons from his family are granted salvation. (provided that they are Muslims)
  9. Allah Ta’ala appoints angels for the protection of a Hafiz-e-Qur’an.
  10. A Hafiz will be granted the highest place of Jannah which he likes for himself.

Let your children by all means memorize the Holy Qur’an. A Hafiz child easily progresses in worldly education and the exams of the fifth grade become easy, too.

Mi’raj: Physical or Spiritual?

Mu’jizat (Miracles)

Whenever Allah sent a Nabi (Prophet), he provided various signs which served as proof that the Nabi was authentic in his claim. These signs took forms of various unusual and wonderful feats being performed by the Nabi by the Will, Power and Command of Allah. These signs are called mu’jizat (miracles). The miracles of the Prophets alayhimus salaam were of such unique nature that no one else was able to perform them, no matter how hard he tried, and he was thus rendered reluctant and helpless and had to admit that the Nabi in question is a Divine Messenger. The word mu’jizah literally means “that which renders powerless or helpless”, and a miracle of a Nabi is called mu’jizah because the feat performed by him cannot be emulated by anyone and disbelievers are therefore left helpless.

Reality of Tauheed

Speech of Mufti-e-‘Azam Pakistan Hadhrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi’ Sahab (nawarallahu marqadahu)

The Meaning of Tauheed

Amongst the A’mal Batini [inner actions], which are necessary for the human to acquire, one is ‘Tauheed’. One meaning of Tauheed you’ve learnt already in the science of ‘Aqaid [articles of faith]. Which is that the human agrees to the Lord being one and does not associate anyone with Him. This is Tauheed ‘Ateqadi [the belief of Tauheed] which a humans Iman [faith] depends on and without it a human can not be a Muslim at all.

On the Prohibition of Music

“From amongst men there are those who purchase ‘lahw al hadith’ without knowledge, to mislead from the Path of Allah and they ridicule it. For them there is a humiliating punishment.” (Luqmân: 6)

A detailed research has been made by Maulana Ismail Moosa, a student from the Darul Iftaa of Madrasa In’aamiyyah (Camperdown, SA), and it of course has been approved by the respected Mufti Ebrahim Desai (damat barkatuhum aliah).

تنبيه للاحباء الى تحريم الغناء (trans. A Caution for our Companions on the Prohibition of Music) is packed with evidences from both the Holy Qur’an and Ahadith. On top of that the verdicts of numerous Sahabah & Tabi’een, ‘Ulama of all four Madhab (and even Ghair Muqallid) and various recent ‘Ulama leave no space for doubts any longer. Even the misconception people have about the use of duffs has been dealt with.

Free Speech Fundamentalism

All praise is due to Allah Who has balanced human interaction between the scales of “Rights and Obligations”. May His choicest salutations continue to descend on our Master and Leader who fulfilled his obligations to fellow man yet rarely demanded his own rights.

“On the Day their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.” (24:24)

Freedom of speech has recently dominated international debate and discourse pursuant to the provocative reprinting of the caricatures by seventeen newspapers in Denmark. The reprinting of the cartoons came in the wake of three individuals who were allegedly caught plotting the murder of the cartoonist. According to the newspapers the reprinting of the cartoons was to ‘show solidarity’ with the cartoonist and to reaffirm their ‘right to freedom of speech and expression’.

Wisdom in the Creation of the Universe

“who created [everything], then made [it] well, and who determined a measure [for everything], then guided [it]…” (87:2,3)

All these are the attributes of the ‘Most Exalted Lord’. The first attribute is khalaqa which does not simply mean ‘to make’ or ‘manufacture’. It has a deeper significance: ‘to bring out something from pure non-existence into the realm of existence without the help of any pre-existing matter’. (This is the correct meaning of ‘creation’. If something is made with the help of some pre-existing matter, it cannot be called ‘creation’ in its original sense.) This is not within the power of anyone else. Only the perfect power of Allah can bring things into existence, whenever He wills, without the help of any pre-existing matter.
